MOB GUARDIAN
Taking the Search out of Search and Rescue.
The Fishing industry is a dangerous business. Our satellite tracking know-how has helped the RNLI save nine lives in UK waters. MOB Guardian is ready for global roll out and we’re looking for other Search and Rescue organisations to work with us to save more lives in more countries.
MOB Guardian is an award winning satellite tracking system that helps keep fishermen safe when working at sea. If the boat capsizes or there is a man overboard, an alert is automatically sent to the UK Search and Rescue services. The system is already credited with having helped to save nine lives.

Step One:
MOB Guardian Personal Safety Device, worn whilst on deck, is constantly in radio contact with the base unit.
Step Two:
Falling overboard breaks radio link and automatically triggers an onboard alarm, simutaneously sending a signal to the search and rescue services.
Step Three:
An alarm is activated onshore with the position and details of the casualty, typically within two minutes of man going overboard.
Step Four:
This enables the emergency services to initiate the search and rescue operation immediately.
“This is a revolutionary new system that will help the RNLI to save more lives at sea. It will help us take the ‘search’ out of search and rescue, and enable us to reach casualties more quickly. Minutes can make the difference between life and death in the waters around our coastline.”
Michael Viasto — Operations Director RNLI
