Technology innovations

For 60 years ENL has focussed on providing customers with innovative technology solutions, mostly in the form of ‘system integration’ – combining products from world-leading manufacturers with ENL’s know-how to optimise the technology for each customer.

More recently, as demand has grown for new solutions, ENL initiated its own research and development team to develop innovative hardware and software solutions to meet these customer demands.

ENL’s manufacturing division produces specialised electronic solutions for the Defence industry, supplying the New Zealand and Australian Navies, as well as building ENL’s outstanding WASSP (wide angle seafloor sonar profiler) multibeam sonar with side-scan.

Developed by Electronic Navigation, WASSP is a combination of technologies packaged into a uniquely versatile, powerful and cost-effective electronic fishing, marine surveying and scientific research tool. ENL’s WASSP WMB-160F system is exported around the world.
